2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA WATERCROSS NATIONAL HEADS TO MYRTLE BEACH SOUTH CAROLINA

National Tour Returns to the Springmaid Beach Resort and the Sun Fun Festival

EASTPOINTE, MI - The American Power Boat Association (APBA) is excited to announce the return of the U.S. National Tour for Watercross Racing to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The 2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour, presented by Sea-Doo, features a six-event, eleven-round series that will determine the U.S. National Tour Champions in eleven Pro-Am and Expert racing classes including Women’s classes. The 2008 series consists of five double rounds events spread throughout the United States, plus the APBA Watercross Nationals in Nashville, Tennessee, as the final stop. The Tour also makes stops in Parker, Arizona; Rochester, New York; Harbor Beach, Michigan and Orange Beach, Alabama.

The 2008 HYDRO-TURF APBA Watercross National Tour, presented by Sea-Doo, third and forth rounds of competition will take place at the beautiful Springmaid Beach Resort on the Atlantic Ocean on June 7 and 8, 2008. The Springmaid Beach Resort and the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce are the hosts of the event that is part of the annual Sun Fun Festival. You will see some of the best closed course racers and teams from around the United States converge on Myrtle Beach to continue the chase for the coveted 2008 APBA Watercross National Tour Championships. The challenging rough waters of the Atlantic Ocean can give even the most seasoned veteran racer a run for his or her money. All the United States top racers are expected to be in attendance including Erminio Iantosca, Eric Lagopoulos, Eric Francis, Chris MacClugage, Jeff Troegner, Billy Dearman, Rick Sherker, Brian Baldwin, Leanne Falvey, Amy Green, Dennis Mack, Rob Greenwald, and Jason Stoyer to name a few. With these great riders as well as up-and-coming stars including Dustin Charrier, Ben Swanson and Keifer King, it is going to be some great racing action in Myrtle Beach.

The action both on and off the water is going to be intense with all riders vying for victory and their share of prize money. In addition to event prize money, Sea-Doo has posted an impressive contingency program for the racers. The Springmaid Beach Pier provides spectators a great view of the race and an opportunity for the fans to get up close and personal with all the racers. Admission to the event is free to spectators. It is going to be an awesome event not to be missed, so make your

plans today to be a part of the all the action in Myrtle Beach. Mike Young of Surf and Turf Promotions is the promoter of the Myrtle Beach event. The event will be filmed for the Maximum Adventure Network (MAN) for two half-hour shows. Stay tuned for the dates and times.
