Sea-Doo's 2010 Line-Up
BRP Unleashes a Navy of All-New Runabouts

Apparently Sea-Doo doesn't know there's some sort of economic depression going on by the looks of its ridiculously cool 2010 runabout line. Scrapping the eight-year-old three-seater GTX hull design, known within the office walls as the "Phoenix," the entire GTX, Wake, and RXT lines now reside on the ground-breaking S3 hull, first launched last year on the controversial iS models, and all units (save for the GTI, GTI SE, RXP, and RXP-X) feature the industry-revolutionizing iBR braking system!

But if all-new hulls and decks weren't enough, Sea-Doo swung back at its only horsepower competitor, Kawasaki, by squeezing another five ponies out of its fly-by-wire-operated 255 hp units, to produce 260 hp. On a balmy August morning on the Potomac River in Washington DC, Personal Watercraft Illustrated was able to clock a brain-melting 70.3 mph on the wickedly cool and astoundingly fast RXT-X 260 on Garmin GPS, with numbers averaging around 69.2 later throughout the day.

We were assured that the North American version would stay within USCG regulations, but those performance fanatics outside of the 65 mph cap will enjoy this stealthy black-and-red RXT-X without such regulations. Additionally, all-new features are found on all iTC-equipped vehicles including "Touring" and "Sport" tunes (accessible through the onboard "SET" and "MODE" buttons) and "SKI" mode for the Wake PRO (including five different launch-control acceleration curves).
