If you attended the 2009 Long Beach Sprint Nationals last weekend, you were witness to some fantastic racing and the excitement of seeing (literally) thousands of horsepower compete in sunny Southern California's Long Beach Marine Stadium.
Personal Watercraft Illustrated was present for the event, and editor Kevin Shaw took the reins of our Sea-Doo RXT-X project Barracuda and unleashed hell along with 80-plus race boat teams and three other PWC race teams. Meanwhile, sales guy Dave Szych and associate editor Justin Stannard prowled the grounds with a video camera and a mission.
Thousands of fans crowded the sandy shore of the Marine Stadium throughout the weekend, and we're pretty sure that almost every one of them left with smiles and great memories.
For those of you who couldn't make it (and for those whose memories may be a bit hazy from spending too much money in the Beer Garden), we offer this highlight video of Saturday's racing. Enjoy.
