This year’s Daytona Freeride in Daytona Beach, Florida
played host to some of the most impressive athletes that the freeride sport has
produced. From all around the world, pro and amateur athletes came and
converged on the beautiful beach, and charged the surf to the sounds of their
powerful two-stroke standups and thousands of cheering onlookers.
Pro freerider Taylor Curtis got dibs on Personal Watercraft Illustrated’s GoPro Hero Wide-Angle camera for
the day, and made us proud with his smooth moves aboard his custom-tailored, Rick Roy Products "Rickter" hull while making the best of the Atlantic Ocean’s meager waves that day.
After starting out with a quick warm-up, we see Taylor throw
some sweet air-to-cutbacks, a one-hander, and then one of the sweetest,
cleanest barrel rolls you could hope for. So kick off your shoes and put your
feet up, lean back and enjoy the clip…
Be sure to check back often, as we plan on adding new GoPro
footage to watercraft.com as often as we can film it, including shootouts,
ocean adventures, and races.
