We have been asked to please ensure that every person who rides a PWC ensures that safety be the number one rule on the water. Typically, state parks regulate that all PWC riders adhere to the following rules:
1. All riders under 16 years of age be accompanied by an adult.
2. Riders must ride in an anti clockwise direction.
3. When launching, leave in an anti clockwise direction and come back in to stop in an anti clockwise direction.
4. When within a no wake zone, do not do donuts or spin around in circles close to shore.
5. NO riding PWC if you have had alcohol.
6. Life jackets must be worn by all people aboard a PWC.
7. All PWC must be registered.
8. When launching, do not start the PWC in the sand or mud; push the boat out into the water and then start, otherwise the jet pump will suck up sand and rocks causing damage.
