A press release from the folks at Autolite:

FIRE UP YOUR WATERCRAFT WITH AUTOLITE® XTREME SPORT® SPARK PLUGS

Powersports Plugs Provide Up to 26 Percent Quicker Starts to Prevent Fouling

If you've ever had to tow your jet ski or small boat back to shore because of a cold start, you know how important it is to use reliable spark plugs that don't foul and offer quick starts, like Autolite® Xtreme Sport® spark plugs.

"There are still a lot of watercraft models with two-stroke engines, which unfortunately are prone to spark plug fouling," said Dave Buckshaw, technical trainer for ignition systems with the Autolite® brand. "Our Autolite® Xtreme Sport® plugs significantly reduce the risk of fouling by using a 0.6mm finewire design which offers a more focused ignition. This design also provides up to a 26 percent quicker start and emits as much as 21 percent less hydrocarbon emissions than standard plugs."

Providing enthusiasts with more miles of playtime, the Autolite® engineers designed their iridium-enhanced Xtreme Sport® plug for improved ignitability, faster fuel combustion and more focused ignition versus standard plugs. Engineered to meet or exceed OE designs, they can withstand the extreme operating temperatures experienced during a powersports engine's combustion, as well as the harsh conditions in which they are used.

"A lot of enthusiasts don't realize that the Autolite® team makes plugs for powersports engines, but we actually have a very comprehensive line of products for watercrafts, jet skis, snowmobiles and four wheelers," Buckshaw said. "Plus, this line offers the same trusted technology found in our automobile spark plugs."

Autolite® Xtreme Sport® spark plugs are available at Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilly Auto Parts, Meijer and NAPA, and they can also be ordered at your local watercraft dealer.
